National Account Manager – Pharmacy Wholesale – AAH, Alliance & Phoenix - Home Based (1 day in London per fortnight)

As the wholesale pharmacy channel continues to play a critical role in the business, the company is now seeking a National Account Manager to manage and develop key wholesale partners including AAH, Alliance and Phoenix.
Role
As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing business across key pharmacy wholesale accounts, ensuring strategies are fully aligned with company objectives and commercial priorities.
You will take ownership of account planning, forecasting and trading negotiations, working cross-functionally with marketing, sales planning, finance and logistics teams to deliver sustainable growth, strong availability and maximised brand performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and developing business through multiple and regional wholesale accounts
* Creating and delivering account plans that maximise brand share and category growth
* Providing accurate sales volume and value forecasts
* Maintaining up-to-date trading policies, reports and account information
* Negotiating favourable trading terms on price, service and profitability
* Driving promotional activity and new product listings across all accounts
* Controlling promotional budgets and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
* Monitoring account performance, competitor activity and market trends and adapting strategy accordingly
* Collaborating with marketing, sales planning, finance and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution and stock availability
* Attending client review meetings and working flexibly when required to meet business needs
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will be a commercially minded account manager with experience operating within the pharmacy wholesale environment.
You will bring:
* Minimum 1+ years’ experience in account management within pharmacy wholesale
* Experience managing accounts such as AAH, Alliance and/or Phoenix
* Background and understanding of trading prescription medicines
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills
* The ability to develop effective account plans and deliver against KPIs
* A proactive, organised and collaborative working style
Salary & Benefits
* £50,000 – £55,000 basic salary
* 15% annual bonus
* Company car or car allowance (£5,500)
* Pension: 6% employer contribution plus 3% employee contribution, with employer matching up to 10%
* Life assurance: 4 x basic salary (option to include partner)

* Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
Location
This role a home based role, with an expectation to attend the Central London office once a fortnight.
