The Vacancy
Job Purpose:
This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations. You will be the first point of contact for all maintenance issues at your assigned sites. You may need to request specialist attendance following initial call-outs. The role also involves reactive and planned maintenance of food services and catering equipment, with training provided. Specialist attendance may be required after initial call-out.
The purpose of this role is to perform technical repairs and PPMs, ensuring all technical and compliance paperwork is completed accurately and maintained up-to-date. All work must meet high standards, be efficient, cost-effective, and comply with Health and Safety legislation.
Key Accountabilities:

* Attend necessary training courses to keep technical skills current.
Performance
* Prioritize maintenance and repair work to meet timescales.
* Complete all PPMs and reactive maintenance within scheduled times, ensuring paperwork is accurate.
* Respond promptly to service requests, assess needs, and carry out repairs.
* Identify faults that cannot be repaired and advise the Line Manager with recommendations.
* Notify on-site managers of issues affecting site operations.
* Conduct surveys and prepare reports as required.
* Collaborate with staff to maintain quality standards.
* Perform minor alterations and installations within technical competence.
* Carry out repairs on food service assets, adhering to policies.
* Maintain professionalism and develop good relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Update the Mercury system with live job information.
Process
* Follow Health and Safety policies at all times.
* Complete mandatory training and compliance documentation.
* Conduct emergency lighting tests and log repairs.
* Communicate effectively with team and management.
* Follow purchase order procedures and ensure costs are approved.
Other
* Perform any other reasonable duties.
* Participate in a 1-in-4 standby on-call rota.
Financial Responsibilities:
Log material spending and handle purchasing responsibly.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Minimum GCSE/Standard Grade; NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical maintenance.
* City and Guilds 2382 18th edition.
* Knowledge of 3-phase electrics.
* Ability to repair electrical and mechanical food service equipment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Full driving license.
