GTS Engineer – Infrastructure, Backups, DR & Microsoft Stack Salary: Up to £45,000 We’re looking for a GTS Engineer to join a growing technology function and take ownership of resilience, continuity and core Microsoft infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys improving systems, tightening processes and keeping environments stable, secure and audit-ready. You’ll work across modern infrastructure stacks, cloud services and backup platforms while collaborating with security, service teams and senior stakeholders. If you enjoy a mix of engineering, problem-solving and building strong operational foundations, this role will suit you well. What You’ll Be Doing Owning Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity across Microsoft 365 and Azure Running backup strategies, recovery tests and ensuring robust off-site retention Supporting infrastructure across servers, storage, networking and identity Preparing audit evidence for ISO 27001 controls and maintaining compliance documentation Creating technical runbooks, process guides and clear operational standards Leading DR drills, capturing risks and delivering improvements Working closely with Security, Vendors and Service teams to resolve incidents Presenting resilience and risk updates to stakeholders What We’re Looking For Strong infrastructure background (Windows, virtualisation, networking) Experience with backup/DR tooling (Veeam, HYCU, or similar) Solid understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure or identity services Ability to document processes clearly and maintain audit-ready standards Comfortable explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders Calm, methodical approach to problem solving (Experience with Nutanix, VMware, Cisco networking or SIEM tools is a bonus.)
