Role Summary
The Laboratory Team Leader will support the team to deliver quality targets and continuously improve performance by coaching and developing staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expertise through chemical and microbiological technical know‑how.
* Use strong influencing and communication capability.
* Apply leadership competencies to guide, motivate and develop the team.
* Act as a coach and mentor for team members and others across the site.
* Facilitate advanced problem‑solving using various methodologies.
* Serve as a role model and drive performance management systems.
* Manage laboratory budget, certification and other QMS duties.
* Create purpose and direction around OGSM deliverables.
* Coach front‑line staff to solve problems and support operations quality control responsibilities.
* Drive development of the direct team.
Qualifications & Experience
* HACCP awareness (Level 2–3).
* Basic food hygiene.
* Microbiology and aseptic techniques.
* Internal audit experience.
* Yellow and Green belt problem‑solving.
* A3 problem‑solving.
* Electronic data capture.
* Eden technologist knowledge.
* Dairy science background.
