Location: The Valleys Innovation Centre, Abercynon /Agile working
The Business Support Service are seeking to appoint a professional to lead our committed Additional Learning Needs Administrative Service (ALNAS) which provides administrative support to the Access & Inclusion Service.
The post requires line managing a dedicated team to effectively co-ordinate, prioritise and efficiently support delivery of statutory and non-statutory administrative services across the Inclusion Service.
The role involves supporting the planning, implementation and delivery of key Local Authority strategic initiatives in relation to Additional Learning Needs (ALN) provision. Supporting a review of the sufficiency of ALN provision within RCT to ensure the needs of pupils with additional learning needs are met. Assisting in the management of a range of key service projects.
The role combines the functions of supporting strategic development, leadership, management and operational delivery. The post holder will play a key role in contributing to an ethos of positive collaborative working with other key professionals within the Access and Inclusion Service.
Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to supporting pupils with additional learning needs and an ability to work flexibly. A passion for raising standards and improving outcomes for children and young people will be essential. The ability to form excellent working relationships with headteachers, other professionals and parent/carers is essential for this role.
Experience of effective leadership and management at a senior level will be necessary and a proven track record of bringing about a positive change. Support from senior colleagues will be provided to help further improve and shape the Access & Inclusion Service to meet agreed priorities.
