Asa Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role supporting our Clinical Pharmacists, GPs, and wider team to improve medicines safety, optimize prescribing, and ensure patients get the best out of their treatment.
Main duties of the job
In this varied role, you will:
* Support the repeat prescribing process, including reviewing medication requests and ensuring appropriate monitoring is in place.
* Assist with medicines reconciliation, especially after hospital discharge, to ensure continuity of care.
* Be a key point of contact for patients with queries about their prescriptions and medication use.
* Support the implementation of local and national prescribing guidelines, formulary updates, and safety alerts.
* Contribute to audits, quality improvement projects, and data collection to enhance prescribing safety and practice performance.
* Help deliver patient education and medicines optimisation initiatives, supporting individuals to manage their own health more confidently.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Relevant experience in primary care, hospital pharmacy, or community pharmacy.
* Experience of working in a GP Practice or Primary Care Network setting.
* Understanding of SystmOne or similar clinical systems.
