The Role

We’re looking for a dynamic Transformation Business Analyst to join the Change Unit of our Transformation team on a 2-year fixed term contract. If you’re passionate about driving change, improving services, and delivering real impact for communities, this is your opportunity to be part of a small team doing something big.
If you have sound analytical skills and excellent Excel and Power BI competency and are looking for an opportunity to develop your career this could be the role for you.
As a Transformation Business Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and drive meaningful change and apply systems thinking to analyse complex processes and uncover opportunities for organisation-wide improvement.
You’ll use data to create visual tools, generate insights and support evidence-based decision-making and facilitate workshops, map processes, and support the delivery of transformation initiatives across the council.
Additionally, you’ll measure the benefits of change efforts and report on this, in order to evidence success and help shape services that are efficient, effective, and aligned with Bolton’s strategic goals.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has strong analytical and communication skills and excellent attention to detail. You should be able to understand the bigger picture and how systems interconnect, turning data into action and insight. The ideal candidate will have experience in business analysis, transformation, or change management. You must have advanced Excel skills, be confident using tools like Power BI, Visio (or similar), and have excellent presentation skills.
