Business Development Manager - Rail (Light Rail)
We are looking for an experienced sales professional to join our busy Rail team focused on UK Light Rail. This role involves working from home with travel across the UK to meet clients and prospects.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement sales strategies for the UK Light Rail market.
* Drive sales growth and profitability in the Rail sector.
* Engage with stakeholders in local authorities, transport operators, and government bodies.
* Maintain high customer satisfaction and advocacy.
* Collaborate with bid teams to develop customer proposals.
* Manage existing Light Rail clients and identify new opportunities.
* Utilize data to generate leads and sell group solutions.
* Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipelines using Salesforce.
Candidate Profile:
Previous experience as a Business Development or Sales Manager in the UK Light Rail sector is essential, with:
* Account management and sales experience within the Light Rail market.
* Ability to generate new business and maintain relationships.
* Understanding of procurement processes and market dynamics.
* Strong interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
* Experience using data for solution development.
