Broad Assistant Accountant role with exposure to billing, controls, reporting and audit support.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join a collaborative and forward-thinking finance team. Operating within a creative, multi-entity environment, this role offers variety, exposure, and the chance to develop your technical skills while supporting a business that delivers engaging experiences to audiences worldwide.
Working on a hybrid basis (3 days per week in the office), offering great exposure and working closely with a Finance Director.
Key duties:
1. Post bank transactions and perform timely and accurate account reconciliations
2. Manage billing and credit control across multiple entities and revenue streams
3. Act as a key point of contact for finance queries, delivering a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders
4. Maintain robust accounting controls and contribute to accurate and timely internal reporting
5. Actively participate in and support the annual audit process
6. Provide flexible, ad-hoc support to the Finance team and wider business as required
Key skills:
7. Currently studying towards (or interested in pursuing) an accounting qualification
8. Experience in Accounts Receivable, including credit control, KPI ownership, and reporting
9. Strong numerical and analytical skills with a logical approach to problem-solving
10. Well-organised with effective time management and the ability to prioritise workload
11. Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
12. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suit
13. Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central or similar accounting systems would be beneficial
14. Team player with a collaborative work approach
