SENIOR CONTRACTS LEGAL ADVISOR - CONTRACT – SURREY To be considered for the role, candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship. Our client, a global leader in engineering and constructing major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore, is currently looking for a Senior Contracts Legal Advisor to join the team based in Surrey. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & SKILLS Proven experience in a similar role. Law degree or equivalent qualification. Proficiency in professional English writing. Strong legal expertise, including LOGIC, FIDIC, Incoterms, Norwegian Law (preferred), and both common and civil law systems with a focus on contract law and partnership agreements. Good knowledge of the company’s core business areas such as EPC contracts, platform components, offshore plants, and subsea fields installation. Meticulous in contract preparation and management, ensuring legal compliance. Strategic thinker with the ability to assess risks, make informed decisions, and align actions with business goals while adapting to market trends and organizational needs. JOB SCOPE Purpose of the position: As a Senior Contracts Advisor, you will be involved in negotiating with external parties and managing comprehensive contract activities, including analysis, drafting, and qualification. You will also support internal teams in tendering and project execution while coordinating with key corporate departments to ensure alignment and efficiency, reporting directly to the Head of Contract Management. Job Requirements Assist the business in contract negotiations and successful project delivery. Contribute to the success of commercial proposals with risk distribution and terms acceptable to the company. Support the completion of projects within time and budget; contribute to risk mitigation and profit maximization. Act as a trusted advisor and business partner across the company, beyond just a functional expert. Ensure client’s standard contracting rules are applied to all contracts, considering risk levels involved. Acquire strong knowledge of the client’s global organization, services, and assets. Rate : Please quote your desired hourly rate for a limited company. Duration : Start ASAP. Approximately 18 months (until Q1 2027), outside IR35.
