Programme Director
Overall responsibility for value creation through delivery of multi-year programmes, projects and solutions. Lead the transition of Tech to the new Platform operating model, creating enduring and reusable assets, and establishing highly capable and effective persistently resourced and funded teams.
Key Accountabilities
To deliver the programme mission, creating business and customer value
• Lead a team (typically including Product Owners and Project Managers) across multiple workstreams
• Manage budgets, timescales and resources, ensuring appropriate planning and dependency management, monitoring and reporting
• Provide Assurance to appropriate parties, indicating deviations, risks and mitigations and issues, and proposing solutions where needed.
• Managing and where appropriate embed third party suppliers within multi-disciplinary teams to achieve the desired programme outcomes and facilitate knowledge transfer
• Co-create, prioritise and communicate roadmap and backlog, driving alignment with other programmes
• Collaborate with and influence stakeholders, including those at or just below board level and across the wider organisation
• Build alignment on priorities
• Develop and maintain clear roadmap to deliver programme mission
• Lead the transition to the new way of working
• Orchestrate the transition of existing programmes and teams to RMs platform operating model
• Establish effective multi-disciplinary teams, embedding suppliers and building capability
• Role model and spearhead the new way of working
Key Skills
• Business acumen and domain expertise in a leadership role where IT and business strategy converge
• Ability to motivate multi-disciplinary teams and to influence beyond formal reporting lines
• Proven prioritization and programme management skills
• Proven acumen at managing and influencing senior stakeholders
• Experience of new way of working, or keen appetite to learn
• Familiar with navigating complex business ecosystem
• Ability to set clear vision, roadmap and priorities to guide teams to deliver business outcomes
