Maintenance TechnicianCore Responsibilities
* Perform preventive maintenance and advanced troubleshooting/repairs on production and facility equipment; proactively identify and resolve recurring issues within the assigned area.
* Conduct electrical and/or mechanical installation, repair, and troubleshooting of motors, instrumentation, and controls.
* Identify equipment deviations and document/communicate findings in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Monitor and support contractors executing small maintenance projects.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations, including ATEX, GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and internal safety guidelines.
* Participate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
* Maintain housekeeping, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety standards in line with company requirements.
* Perform administrative tasks, including creating and closing work orders in the Maintenance Management System (SAP).
* Support the Maintenance Lead/Supervisor in delivering technical training and tracking work order completion.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Academic Background
* Vocational diploma in Technical Engineering or a related discipline (pre-university level).
* Valid forklift certification required.
* Certification in at least one of the following areas:
o Pipefitting
o Welding
o Pumps
o PLC
o Electrical systems
o Robotics
o Equipment repair
Professional Experience
* 5-6 years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations (experience in a matrix organization preferred).
* Up to 1 year of people management experience is desirable.
Technical Skills
* Strong knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) rules and regulations.
* Basic working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel.
* Proficient in safely using hand tools and equipment for installation, disassembly, and testing of electronic, pneumatic, and electrical devices.
* Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills (e.g., welding, plumbing, pipefitting, electrical systems).
* Ability to read, sketch, redline machine and process drawings, and write clear, concise technical instructions.
