Job function
The role holder is responsible for management of the TXO Systems group accessories supply chain ensuring optimum purchasing performance.
The Supply Chain Manager aim is to build long term relationship with suppliers with optimum pricing to support business growth.
Specific responsibilities
Expand, protect, and strengthen the TXO group's accessories supplier portfolio to increase competition among suppliers and drive pricing down.
Create, implement, maintain, and manage the TXO Optic ranking system. Examples include, but are not limited to, tiers based on product types: Tier 1 (100G products and above), Tier 2 Linktel (standard 1G and 10G, occasionally 40G and 100G), and Tier 3 Olink (low-cost, lower-quality products).
Onboard suppliers in line with TXO policies and procedures for full-time use across the tiered system.
Relationship Management – Develop, expand, and nurture relationships with technical, operational, and commercial contacts to strengthen ties within supplier organizations. Minimise single points of contact by building a portfolio of contacts within each supplier.
Develop and maintain escalation plans and contingencies for changes in supplier circumstances.
Review stock levels to ensure alignment with current and future requirements, including timely ordering and return of stock.
Monitor price lists with formal, documented reviews conducted semi-annually and annually. Plan RFI programs across all suppliers and prospective suppliers for the new fiscal year.
Manage daily activities, including quotations, ordering, testing, and shipping Business as Usual (BAU).
Manage all ongoing projects (BAU).
Conduct price negotiations for both project-based and daily activities (BAU).
Resolve supplier disputes (BAU).
Continually monitor, evaluate, and improve supplier performance (BAU).
Implement modern technologies and remain alert to new products in the sector, including 400G solutions.
Continuously gather information about OEMs and competitors.
Build and authorize a group-wide template for onboarding accessories suppliers, detailing steps, required approvals, and schedules.
Develop and maintain an up-to-date list of supplier targets with timelines for onboarding and specific product coverage.
Build, formalize, and manage penalty schemes for late deliveries and faulty parts.
Make proposals to HOOSP for new purchasing strategies to bolster the supplier portfolio and reduce costs.
Conduct annual supplier audits to ensure compliance with TXO system standards. For new suppliers, audit three months after initial supply if no faults are found, and arrange cross-factory audits to evaluate practices, scaling capabilities, and manufacturing quality.
Prepare timely and accurate management information covering stakeholder engagement in the procurement lifecycle to support effective performance management and delivery of required outcomes.
Produce monthly and quarterly reports to HOONP in line with requirements, including spending and supplier performance. Generate ad hoc reports as required.
Conduct monthly reviews reported to the GSD of all green stock suppliers. Performance analysis should include, but is not limited to, price, lead-time, accuracy of lead-time, terms, product quality, and RMAs.
Plan and engage with sales staff across all disciplines to understand contract specifications and liaise with suppliers to develop profiles of delivery capability, resulting in effective market engagement.
Assist with tender or bidding opportunities with sales teams on a case-by-case basis.
Maintain accurate, auditable records of all procurement processes to ensure high compliance.
Build supplier, category, and market understanding through performance management, research, and stakeholder briefings, supporting effective management of commercial issues throughout the commissioning and procurement cycle.
Update TXO Systems ERP and business systems, including X3 and the CRM database.
Provide cover for other divisional administrative roles during peak periods or absences.
About you
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in supply chain operations, procurement, logistics, or warehouse management.
Proficient in ERP systems, supply chain management software, and data analysis tools.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
Skilled at identifying inefficiencies, forecasting demand, and implementing solutions to optimise supply chain performance.
