Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor Experimental Condensed Matter Physics at UNSW Canberra. Employment type: Full-time, 35 hours per week. Duration: Continuing. Remuneration: Level C from $155,403 / Level D from $185,917 plus 17% super. Location: UNSW Canberra, ADFA Campus.

Why Your Role Matters
The School of Science is one of five schools at UNSW Canberra and includes six disciplines: Aviation, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, Physics and Oceanography. We seek a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to contribute to experimental condensed matter physics through research and teaching, curriculum design, course delivery, high-quality publications, grant applications, student supervision, and administrative service within the School.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to curriculum design and delivery for undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs.
* Build a vibrant research portfolio with high-quality publications and grant applications.
* Supervise students and supervise/postgraduate research projects.
* Engage in administration and contribute to the collegial life of the School.
Qualifications
At Senior Lecturer Level C:
* A PhD in experimental condensed matter physics or a related discipline.
* Expertise in cryogenic techniques and measurements at low temperatures.
* Demonstrated track record in experimental condensed matter physics research.
* Evidence of ability to support and inspire students.
* Experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, and development and delivery of courses and programs at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
* Experience implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods.
* Demonstrated success in curriculum development and improvement.
* Experience recruiting and supervising high-calibre students.
* Ability to interact with industry and attract funding for learning and teaching initiatives.
Associate Professor Level D (in addition to Level C skills):
* Experience with industry or work-integrated learning.
* Professional development of teaching practice with ability to lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching.
* Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Significant track record in research leadership with international impact and ongoing commitment to research excellence and leadership.
* Leadership in building engagement and partnerships with the profession and industry.
