Overview
Primary Teaching Assistant required in a primary school in St. Helens. This role is five days per week and starts as soon as possible on an ongoing basis. Salary/Rate: £92+ per day.
Responsibilities
* Assist teaching staff in the delivery of lessons to pupils across the primary age range.
* Support phonics teaching and learning as part of early years, KS1 and KS2 assessment activities.
* Support pupils in development of reading, writing and numeracy skills as directed by the class teacher.
* Contribute to maintaining a positive and safe learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3).
* Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
* Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years.
* Excellent knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
* Previous Early Years, KS1 and KS2 experience.
* Two references working with children.
* Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
