In:house Probate Solicitor
PQE: 5+
Location: Berkshire (Hybrid : 3 days on:site, 2 days from home)
Salary: circa GBP 60,000 DOE
We're looking for a Probate Solicitor with 5+ PQE to join a growing legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Europe's most progressive consumer legal 8209;tech organisations, where innovation, client care and operational excellence sit at the heart of everything they do.
You'll manage your own caseload of probate matters, ranging from straightforward estates to complex, high 8209;value cases while supporting junior colleagues and contributing to the continuous improvement of our legal operations. Working closely with the Head of Legal and collaborating with sales, product and operational teams, you'll help shape the future of how probate services are delivered. You'll be pragmatic, commercially aware, and solutions:oriented, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
ROLE
: Managing a varied caseload of probate and estate administration matters from instruction through to distribution.
: Providing expert legal advice on probate, inheritance tax and private client matters.
: Drafting and reviewing legal documents including IHT forms, grant applications and estate accounts.
: Ensuring compliance with probate law, SRA regulations and internal governance standards.
: Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues and paralegals.
: Working cross 8209;functionally with product, tech and customer service teams to enhance service delivery.
: Leading or contributing to process 8209;improvement initiatives, including the use of legal 8209;tech and AI tools.
: Representing the legal team in cross 8209;departmental projects and client escalations.
ABOUT YOU
: A qualified Solicitor with 5+ PQE.

: Proven experience managing end 8209;to 8209;end probate and estate administration cases.
: Ability to handle complex or high 8209;value estates with minimal supervision.
: A collaborative team player who enjoys contributing to a positive team culture.
