Job Title: Interim Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant - 3-6 Month Contract
Location: Solihull (office-based)
Contract: 3-6 months
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 (pro rata)

Overview:

A well established organisation in Solihull is seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant to join their finance team on a 3-6 month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable finance professional who enjoys working across a variety of accounting tasks and can quickly integrate into a busy finance function. The team is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, support day-to-day finance operations, and add value from day one.

You'll gain exposure across multiple areas of transactional finance, working alongside an experienced and supportive team within a structured finance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supporting purchase ledger and sales ledger processes
* Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records
* Performing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
* Assisting with month-end tasks, including journals and reporting support
* Handling finance queries from suppliers and internal teams
* Supporting credit control and cash allocation where required
* Assisting the wider finance team with ad-hoc accounting tasks

Essential Requirements:

* Previous experience working as an Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant
* Interim or contract experience with the ability to quickly adapt to new environments
* Comfortable working across AP, AR and general accounts support
* Ideally AAT qualified or studying towards AAT
* Experience working within medium to large finance teams
* Strong attention to detail and good Excel skills
* Proactive, organised and able to manage workload effectively
