Responsibilities
1. Test and validate program modules of increasing complexity to meet specifications and procedures standards.
2. Conduct thorough and accurate testing of client/server and web-based applications.
3. Document software defects in the issue-tracking system and communicate proactively with developers.
4. Validate all written documentation for accuracy and completeness.
5. Validate software releases of basic complexity prior to distribution.
6. Execute automated test scripts and evaluate results.
7. Create and maintain test plans and test cases for all testing assignments.
8. Adhere to and help develop standards and procedures.
9. Review and edit test case scripts and write queries as needed.
10. Document and execute various testing approaches to ensure effective product coverage.
11. Identify procedures, methods, or tools to improve QA efficiency.
12. Assist in designing and defining requirements for new products.
13. Provide analysis and support for development and support teams.
14. Meet departmental goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Science, Business, or equivalent work experience.
2. Experience in software quality assurance preferred; experience with Tyler software is a plus.
3. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
4. Knowledge of QA testing methodologies and practices preferred.
5. Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle is desirable.
6. Keen attention to detail.
7. Excellent planning and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
8. Effective time management skills and a proven track record of successful results.
9. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical and non-technical audiences.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
11. Ability to maintain a test environment effectively.
12. Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
