The Commercial practice works with a wide portfolio of well‑known retail and consumer brands, alongside leading hotel, hospitality and leisure businesses. The group is involved in a steady flow of complex and cross‑border mandates, supporting clients on commercial strategy, operational partnerships and key contractual frameworks. This is a highly collaborative team with an international outlook, advising on varied commercial arrangements that underpin brand growth and multi‑channel routes to market.
The Role
This position offers exposure to major brands across the retail, consumer and hospitality sectors. You will:
* Lead on drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including franchising, hotel operating contracts, licensing arrangements, outsourcing and supply chain documentation.
* Support clients on commercial structuring, distribution strategies, e‑commerce pathways and digital routes to market.
* Work directly with clients, ensuring advice is practical, commercially aligned and delivered efficiently.
* Play an active role in profile‑building, pitches, sector‑focused initiatives and wider business development opportunities.
* Contribute to mentoring junior team members and supporting knowledge sharing across the practice.
Candidate Profile
* 3–6 years PQE with solid commercial contracts experience gained in private practice or in-house.
* Background or interest in retail, consumer, hotel or hospitality work is strongly welcomed.
* Strong commercial awareness and confidence advising directly‑engaged clients.
* Interest in sector trends, branding, digital commerce and evolving consumer markets.
* Enthusiasm for business development and collaborative working.
