Evelina London cares for local children in Lambeth and Southwark and provides specialist services across south east England including cardiac, renal and critical care services. We lead a number of specialist service networks aiming to ensure children are treated locally where possible, but have access to specialist expertise when they need it. Our community services include health visiting, school nursing and support for families of children with long-term conditions.
Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve, working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. Working with our partners in Lambeth and Southwark, we are focusing on new ways of working to improve care for local patients.

Job overview
Our team of ECG support works are often the first staff patients will meet on their journey in Cardiology.
We are looking for team members who can put patients at ease at a stressful time while working efficiently and meeting our high standards of patient care.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Cardiographer team bringing with them skills to aid the team and service in a positive manner, including:
Resting 12-lead ECGs
Applying ambulatory monitoring devices such as Spacelabs' Eclipse range of monitoring, Blood Pressure monitors, Cardiac Event monitors
Maintaining a clean and well stocked working environment
Assisting the Associate Practitioner and Non-Invasive Clinical Lead in delivering a high quality service for all our service users.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Use of Epic to monitor workflow.
Adding patients who have been sent from their GP to Epic and book them into the EGC workflow.
To perform a range of resting 12 lead electrocardiograms to National and local guidelines. Reassuring and putting patients at ease will carrying out the required test.
To identify the appropriate Holter and fit these and BP monitors for up to 30 days as identified by the Epic order.
Stock taking for the ECG department.
Input data into trust IT systems.
Using Epic and Sentinel to manage work flow.
Other clerical duties as required.
Person specification
Qualifications
* • SCST Certificate of Electrocardiography
* BLS
* Educated to foundation degree level
* Working towards the Diploma in Electrocardiography
Skills
* • Good written and oral communication skills
* • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a multi-professional environment
* • Ability to assists in advanced electrocardiographic investigations, such as high lead ECG/ Holter and Signal Average ECG
* • Being prepared to undertake further training as required for the post
Experience
* Relevant clinical experience carrying out ECG
* Dealing with difficult situations
* • Ability to work as a solo practitioner
* Relevant clinical experience in the NHS carrying out E
* Experience of using Epic
* Able to self-motivate and show initiative, identify problems and develop solutions.

These letters are fake.
