Responsibilities include: patient tray assembly, delivering and retrieving food trucks from patient floors, passing patient trays (excluding red dot), assisting with scrapping, washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, pots, and pans. Deliver food supplies to various hospital areas as needed. May be assigned any duty within the food and nutrition department.

Responsibilities
1. Patient meal service
2. Delivers food trucks to nursing units at designated meal times and retrieves them according to department policies.
3. Safety programs
4. Understands HASAP and proper food handling procedures.
5. Goals and objectives
6. Participates in all staff meetings.
7. Systems and processes
8. Supports policies and procedures of the department.
9. Time management
10. Uses time efficiently to complete work assignments, including the 'clean as you go' method and keeping the work area clean and organized.
11. Dishwashing duties
12. Tends, loads, and cleans dish machines, washing pots and pans. Operating temperatures are recorded on the temperature sheet each morning.
13. Patient tray setup
14. Sets up patient trays and nourishments, assembling prepared food and beverages for all diets in a timely manner.
15. Cafeteria work
16. Works in the cafeteria, charging correct prices when cashing out customers according to the price list.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Four weeks of on-the-job training to become proficient.
