Site Supervisor – Teesside (Static Site)

Johnson Controls is looking for a Site Supervisor to join our dedicated team at a key static site in Teesside. About the Role
As a Site Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of on-site engineers and subcontractors, ensuring the effective delivery of mechanical fire suppression services across the site. You’ll oversee preventative maintenance, routine servicing, and remedial works on a range of fire detection and gas suppression systems, including:
1. Conventional and addressable fire detection systems
2. Networked and graphical fire alarm systems
3. Gas extinguishing systems (e.g., Argonite, CO₂, Inergen, Novec)
4. Mechanical fire suppression equipment and fire extinguishers

Key Responsibilities
15. Lead and support engineers and subcontractors on site
16. Deliver maintenance, servicing, and repair activities across fire detection and gas suppression systems
17. Assist with estimating, integrity testing, commissioning, and client training
18. Monitor subcontractor performance and manage site documentation
19. Conduct safety and quality audits, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards
20. Report near misses and H&S issues promptly
21. Maintain daily work diaries and provide weekly updates
22. Promote Johnson Controls’ culture of inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment
23. Build strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
Essential
24. Experience with gas suppression systems
25. Mechanical fire suppression experience
26. Full UK driving licence
27. Excellent communication and customer service skills
28. Strong people management abilities with experience supervising teams
29. Proactive approach to unexpected situations and problem-solving
30. Ability to inspire, influence, and build strong working relationships
31. Previous supervisory experience
