Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant who reside in Ipswich or Colchester to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with health Care professionals to implement care plans effectively.
Duties
* Assist service users with daily living activities, including personal care, personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility in a timely and professional manner.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
* Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
* Communicate effectively with service users, their families, supervisors and other healthcare staff to ensure a high standard of care.
* Drive to various locations as required for home care visits.
* Ensure that the environment is safe and clean for all patients.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential (desirable but not compulsory).
* Maintaining patient records and documentation.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* Empathy and compassion towards service user, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
* A valid driving licence and a vehicle is advantageous for this role (Mileage will be paid)
* A valid DBS
