Job Description:
This role involves supporting secondary-aged pupils with special educational needs (SEN) at a leading SEN school in Surrey, known for its excellent facilities including therapy pools, sensory rooms, and I-Gaze technology. The school provides a safe learning environment for children with complex learning, social, and communication difficulties, including physical disabilities. Therapies such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, and speech and language therapy are available, often integrated into students' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting children before, during, and after lessons
* Supporting children to understand and participate in tasks
* Encouraging social skills development
* Maintaining individual student records
* Building confidence and motivation
* Participating in team meetings and training
* Supporting safeguarding regulations
* Providing personal and medical care support as needed (training provided)
The role is ideal for psychology graduates and offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern, state-of-the-art environment. Roles are available full-time and part-time, with flexible hours, on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The position starts ASAP, with a one-year contract.
