Job Purpose:To provide high quality person centred care and support services in line with client and organisational needs.
Summary
This job sits within Sanctuary Supported Living (SSL) which helps people to live independently by providing high quality, registered and non registered specialist support and housing services.
The job holder will ensure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilities in respect of both Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity at all times

Key Accountabilities
* Provide high quality person centred care and support services in line with client and organisational needs.
* Contribute to the assessment of clients' needs, providing input into the creation, development and review of care plans under supervision involving other service providers as required and ensuring the involvement of clients in planning and evaluating their own care.
* Deliver care and support for clients as required to ensure clients personal hygiene, dietary needs and medication needs are met whilst ensuring their privacy, dignity and independence is maintained and positively respected at all times and in accordance with agreed care plans.
* Assist and encourage service users to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community by supporting regular social and leisure activities and opportunities.
* Provide support as identified within the care plan to manage complex needs, challenging behaviour and degenerative conditions.
* Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, through accurate and timely reporting.
* Provide advocacy to support clients and their families when required, to maximise clients independence and personal potential.
* Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks and business protocols, escalating issues as appropriate and following safeguarding procedures.
* Contribute, as appropriate, to special projects and change programmes in support of the Group's objectives.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care or support role.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable:
* Experience supporting individuals with dementia, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments.
* Medication administration training (e.g., MAR/EMAR systems).
* Manual handling and First Aid training.
