📘 ESSENTIAL SKILLS & TRAINING
We are looking for individuals with:
* Experience working with young people with learning difficulties and complex needs
* Understanding of therapeutic and positive behaviour support approaches
* Mandatory Training or Care Certificate (including practical Moving & Handling)
* Oliver McGowan Training
* Safeguarding Children
* Medication Awareness
* Ability to support non-verbal communication (e.g., Makaton or PECS)
* Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

Requirements
* Prior experience as a Support Worker or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
* Valid UK Driver's License
* Empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
* Mandatory training certifications in areas such as first aid, health and safety, and safeguarding.
