Product Owner

As a Barclays Product Owner, you will sit within the UK Fraud Servicing team and will spearhead a technology feature team which is working to deliver changes to help resolve the issues of customers who have been victims of fraud. Your primary objective is helping the business implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by identifying the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners.

What will you be doing?
• Undertaking Stakeholder Management – managing a wide range of stakeholders from business teams to technical teams
• Developing and managing a backlog of features and user stories and the ability to prioritise development
• Ensuring any issues that arise you take ownership (or find the owner) and ensure these are resolved
• Communicating to all levels of management on the change in a concise manner
• Creating process maps in form of swim lanes, flowcharts, workflow diagrams and many more
• Managing a product and its features from start to delivery
• Assisting the Product Manager in building Product Roadmaps
What we’re looking for:
• Solid analytical skills with data driven approach and ability to grasp technical design is essential to success of this role
• Attention to detail in understanding business need, documenting the requirements for the engineering team to deliver and keeping close track of changes to original scope
• Effective stakeholder management by maintaining solid relationships internally, excellent interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience in Agile ways of working, including using Jira
• Knowledge of disputes and chargebacks processes
• Experience with Pega platform and/or Smart Disputes software

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
