Laboratory Support Assistant

Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00, 37 hours
£12.82 p/h
To act in a supporting role capacity. Delivers straightforward tasks and assist in the delivery of the technical and scientific services to support and bring about environmental outcomes.
Duties:
Assists in day-to-day activities such as preparation and dispatch of sample bottle orders, cleaning and preparation of sample bottles, equipment checks, deliveries.
To provide support of all sections of the laboratory at Starcross including deliveries, cleaning of laboratory glassware, waste collections, equipment checks, sample disposal, administration and occasional visitor reception duties.
To assist other operational support work groups when needed.
Person:
Full training will be given.
An interest in science or the environment.
Already living local to Starcross / Exeter.
Organised with good written and verbal communication skills.
Able to use various IT systems after appropriate training.
Available to start within 4 weeks.
Will have to undergo security vetting including a DBS check
