This is a permanent, full-time role ideal for a passionate Head Veterinary Surgeon looking for their next challenge - and with our practice's growth potential, there's room for your partner to thrive too, whether they're clinical or support-focused.
Responsibilities
* Lead two clinics: Holly House Veterinary Surgery in Hindley and Little Lane Veterinary Surgery in Wigan as part of a wider team that includes 5 senior vets and over 20 vets across 6 sites.
* Work within a practice that runs both first-opinion clinics and Advanced Practitioner-led referral clinics, supported by a multidisciplinary team in surgery, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, and medicine.
* Develop a bonded client base, communicate clearly with clients, and justify clinical decisions using evidence-based medicine while remaining pragmatic where finances are a consideration.
* Collaborate with an experienced management team, including Advanced Practitioners in Ophthalmology and Surgery, to grow and develop the practice.
Qualifications / Experience
* Experience in leading a veterinary team or willingness to lead as part of a duo.
* Interest in thorough case workups and high standards of clinical care in a high-end first opinion and referral setting.
* Ability to justify clinical decisions and communicate effectively with clients.
* Willingness to engage with continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.
