Overview

Could you be the face of Buckinghamshire’s Family Hub Offer? Are you solution focused, warm, dynamic, responsive, and love to work with people from all backgrounds? We are looking for a Family Hub Support Worker based in Chiltern and South Bucks to join us. This is a part‑time role working 18.5 hours per week.


About the Role

You will be based in Chiltern and South Bucks and work across five Family Centres facilitating universal sessions and targeted groups for children, young people and families. You will also support duty at Newtown Family Centre Plus, which is open Monday – Thursday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and Friday, 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.

* Ensure the effective transition between universal and targeted services.
* Be a welcoming face to families and professionals alike, providing advice and signposting to services within the Family Hub Network and local community.
* Greet visitors that walk into family centres and provide direct support through information gathering and liaising with professionals to deliver a holistic service to families, specific to their presenting need.
* Support duty at Newtown Family Centre Plus, including opening and closing procedures.
* Collaborate with partners across all sectors to help families and residents get the help they need early and improve their resilience and family life.


About You

To succeed in this role you should be organized and proactive, ensuring family centres run efficiently and provide a welcoming face for parents, families and professionals alike. You should have experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families in public, private or voluntary sector settings (e.g. Childcare, Health, Social Care, Youth Justice, Education, Youth Work or other relevant fields) and a proven ability to work with partners from these services.
