Job Title: Domestic Electrician (Testing & Inspection) Location: Croydon & Surrounding Areas Salary: Competitive (£43,000) Van & Fuel Card Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Domestic Electrician to join our team. This role is focused on high-quality residential electrical works, ranging from first and second-fix installations to comprehensive Testing and Inspection. You will be responsible for ensuring all works are compliant with BS 7671 (18th Edition) standards while providing excellent service to our domestic clients. Key Responsibilities Carry out initial verification and periodic Inspection and Testing (2391) on domestic properties. Execute full 1st and 2nd fix installations, including lighting and power circuits. Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and remedial repairs. Undertake distribution board upgrades and earthing/bonding assessments. Issue Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC) and reports accurately via digital systems. Maintain a high standard of site safety and clean working practices in occupied homes. Essential Requirements ECS Gold Card (Skilled Worker/Approved Electrician). City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent). 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification. Full UK Driving Licence. Strong communication skills and experience in a customer-facing domestic environment. Desirable Skills Experience with EV Charge Point installation and commissioning.
