The Role
We are looking for a driven and analytical Merchandiser to join our growing team. In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring our products are well-positioned in the market, stock levels are optimized, and trade performance is continuously reviewed to drive business growth. You’ll collaborate closely with various teams, including Design, Marketing, E-commerce, and Supply Chain, to execute strategic initiatives and achieve financial targets. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead season reviews and lessons learned to inform future merchandising strategies, applying insights from previous seasons to improve the product range
* Own the EOSS strategy and product exit plans, collaborating with the Head of Merchandising on final markdowns and stock exit strategies
* Own the start-of-week trade analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities and propose recommendations to drive sales
* Identify top-selling products and proactively identify and manage product risks, including underperforming lines and stock-outs
* Provide support and guidance to the MAA and AM ensuring workload is prioritised and direction is clear
* Monitor inventory levels and recommend timely replenishment or trading actions
* Manage stock levels using WSSI and sales data to ensure availability and timely replenishment without overstocking
* Work with Design and Product teams to create merchandise plans that align with business goals, demand, and seasonal trends
* Manage production and supplier relationships to optimise costs, delivery, and quality, especially for key product launches
* Collaborate with wider teams such as Marketing, Finance, E-commerce to develop and execute commercial strategies and align merchandising with business goals and market trends
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in merchandising, ideally within retail or fashion
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights
* In-depth knowledge of stock management and trade analysis tools (e.g., WSSI)
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
* Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and an understanding of the supply chain process
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Experience in leading and developing a team
