We're currently recruiting for additional Bank Catering Assistants - Patient Meal Services to support our team at Castleberg Hospital in Settle, a rural location where we play a vital role in supporting patients with high-quality food and drink provision.
You'll be part of the Patient Meal Service team, which sits within the Catering Team of AGH Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, no two days are the same. You will be responsible for:
* Delivering meals and beverages to patients
* Collating menu orders and cooking meals using regeneration methods
* Assisting with basic food preparation
* Cleaning duties and temperature checks (fridges and food)
* Stock rotation and supporting delivery acceptance
Full training will be provided, with initial mandatory training running Monday to Friday for 2 weeks. Please note: applicants must be 18 years or older due to safeguarding requirements.

Working Hours:
Between 07:00-20:00, 7 days a week, 365 days a year - subject to operational and service needs

Main duties of the job
The role of the Catering Assistant is to carry out all duties to the required standard for the provision of the catering services within the Hospital. To communicate with the Catering Supervisor and Management any problems and potential improvements in providing the service and to work to achieve departmental objectives

* GCSE Maths & English or equivalent

Experience
* Previous experience working with the public/customers
* Working to schedules, procedures and deadlines
* Previous experience of working in a hospital/healthcare/care home environment
* Previous experience of complying with Health and Safety regulations
