Position : Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary : £35,000-£45,000 according to experience

Qualifications:
* Degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, CAD or very similar
* Fluent written and spoken English language skills
* Proficiency with CAD (Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor)
* Able to undertake mechanical engineering calculations (FEA etc)
* Team player, able to work as part of a small, multi-disciplined team
About the Role
* Accountable for the completion of 3D modelling, detail design, technical calculations, and product development using the internal software and tools.
* Responsible for assigned portion of product design and development process, ensuring project schedules are maintained while following the standards.
* Working closely with Project Engineers to reach assigned target
* Develop the layout of areas of equipment, proposal layout, basic engineering of new mechanical equipment based on Customer requests
* Carry out complex mechanical calculations
* Participate in commercial / technical (basic and detail design) meetings worldwide. This will involve customer interaction and other business units such as Civil, Piping, Automation
* Continuous monitoring on project progress, identify any areas of concern, elevate where necessary and manage customer expectations
* Coordinate inputs to ensure a winning strategy is clearly communicated and documented.
* On‑time delivery of technical documents; in the desired medium (portal upload and/or electronic/hard copies, etc).
* Ensure technical documents, relevant project related information, MoMs, etc, are recorded and filed correctly on the server.
* Support sales activities through drawing/document creation and on-site reverse engineering of products.
* Liaison with representatives from suppliers during technical evaluations of project solutions.
* Manage expectations, clarify requirements and make requests, including submission deadline changes, as required.
* Support sales and prepare the data analysis and collection before the project start.
