Religious Education Teacher - Temporary Position

Start Date: Immediately after February Half Term
Contract: Temporary, Full Teaching Responsibilities
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Cheltenham. This temporary position begins after the February half term and requires a teacher who can confidently take on full classroom responsibilities, including planning, delivering lessons, and marking.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 RE curriculum and be committed to creating engaging, thought‑provoking lessons that inspire students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high‑quality RE lessons across KS3 and KS4
Mark work in line with school policies and provide meaningful feedback
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Contribute to the wider life of the school where required
Uphold safeguarding and behaviour expectations
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education
Experience teaching KS3 and KS4
Ability to take on full teaching responsibilities from day one
