Summary
We’re looking for a Business Services Co-ordinator to join our busy Visitor Operations Team. We can provide the training, but you’ll need to bring a ‘can-do’ and proactive attitude and work well as part of a team, whilst being able to work independently on your own initiative.
This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months, starting in June 2026.
The role is full-time and will include weekends (approx. one weekend a month) and bank holidays on a rota basis.
Interview date: 25th May 2026
Internally you'll be known as a Business Services Co-ordinator (place based).
What it's like to work here
You’ll be based in the Estate Office at the Wimpole Estate, one of the busiest properties in the National Trust. Set in 2500 acres, Wimpole is a working estate with an impressive house, gardens, a walled kitchen garden, a rare breed farm and an expansive parkland to enjoy miles of walks.
No two days are ever the same as we strive to give our visitors a great experience. You’ll be joining a supportive and hardworking team, working alongside staff and volunteers from across the Estate. It’s an exciting time, with ambitious future plans for the Estate that are starting to take shape.
What you'll be doing
Your role will be varied and there is always lots to do. You'll be responsible for managing the Estate’s primary email account, responding to visitor enquiries in a timely manner and coordinating and analysing all visitor feedback to continuously improve our visitor’s experience. You'll manage all lost property and order and control the Estate Office stationery and uniform requirements. You'll also provide broad administrative support to the General Manager and Property Leadership Team, arranging meetings and taking the record of decisions. Following your induction and with additional training and support, you'll be one of our nominated Duty Managers, allocated on a rota basis, responsible for the overall smooth operation of the Estate. You'll have additional training to enable you to support our Visitor Welcome Team and provide resilience at peak times.
