The opportunity
As a Direct Entry Captain on the ATR 42, you will lead safe, efficient, and passenger‑focused operations while championing SOPs and a just safety culture. You will set the tone on the flight deck, guide your crew with clarity, and make sound decisions to deliver a reliable operation every day.
What you’ll do
* Operate ATR 42 sectors to the highest safety and compliance standards across all phases of flight.
* Lead and mentor the flight and cabin crew, fostering strong CRM and teamwork.
* Exercise decisive judgement under pressure, balancing operational, commercial, and safety priorities.
* Maintain rigorous adherence to company SOPs, regulatory requirements, and best practice.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch, engineering, ATC, and ground operations to ensure on‑time, efficient performance.
What you’ll bring
* Strong technical proficiency with in‑depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety practices, and flight operations.

Minimum requirements
* License Required: ATPL
* Accepted Licenses: UK CAA
* Medical: Class 1
* ICAO ELP level: 4 (minimum)
* Type rating: Not required — training provided
* Preferred: Valid ATR 42/72 type rating
* Currency: Currently or recently operated in command on a multi‑crew aircraft (MTOW > 10t or 19+ pax)
* Right to work: Right to live and work in the UK
* Visa sponsorship: Not provided
Training and onboarding
NTR candidates are welcome. Comprehensive ATR 42 type rating and line training are provided, building on your existing command experience to ensure a smooth transition to our operation.
