Duties
* Manage customer expectations regarding completion of enquiries/tenders.
* Review, comment, and negotiate commercial terms and conditions, including credit requirements.
* Lead handover meetings when required and take ownership of commercial aspects, including margins.
* Attend customer meetings in person or via Teams as necessary.
* Discuss and review initial proposals regarding technical requirements of client specifications.
* Advise on the best fit technical products using existing technologies for AC UPS, DC Chargers, and batteries.
* Understand and interpret requirements for installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
* Support the tendering engineer and provide guidance on margins and target prices to maximize margins and profit.
* Ensure enquiries, customer details, status, and activities are logged and updated on the company’s CRM system for management reporting.
* Provide quotes and tenders for products, installation, commissioning, service, spares, and training as needed to manage customer expectations and assist other departments.
* Attend site surveys and meetings as necessary.
* Provide monthly reports and presentations alongside the Industrial Sales team or independently as required.
* Make recommendations on product development and pricing.
* Update on market trends, competitors, and market prices.
* Assist in developing others within the team and across departments.
* Promote a “Can do” culture for internal and external stakeholders.
Experience
* Experience in the Standby Power Industry or similar industries such as switchgear is advantageous.
* Understanding of power electronics.
* Ability to produce tenders/quotations is beneficial.
* HNC or higher qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
