Central Beds CAMHS are excited to be recruiting into a Band 8a Clinical Lead post 0.5 WTE hours) in one of our Mental Health Support Teams (MHST).
The MHSTs are part of an exciting trailblazer project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community in response to the government's Green Paper for Young People's Mental Health. Bedfordshire & Luton have been successful in having several MHST sites benefitting from significant investment in this area. The post holder will be part of a comprehensive stepped care approach to mental health support for children, young people and their families, and will be part of the broad-based first-step Community Access Services (CAMH CAS), who offer support through schools, GP practices, Early Help Services and other partners, implementing a resilience and community focused approach to supporting families.
Main duties of the job
You will also provide triage, mental health assessments, effective brief therapeutic support, group work and workshops to prevent moderate to severe mental health problems developing, using the Thrive model. You will be required to be flexible, and be able to travel across Central Bedfordshire. The post is embedded in the community, and you will have an attached base presently in Stratton School in Biggleswade. You will be an integrated part of the CAMH Access Services multi-disciplinary services and the wider CAMH Specialist Service.

* Qualification in appropriate mental health profession such as Clinical or Family of Psychology, Systemic Family Therapy, Child Psychotherapy, Nursing, Social Work, Occupational therapist, Arts Therapist and registration with relevant UK governing body.
Desirable
* Parenting qualification and parenting supervision qualification.
* Low Intensity CBT supervisor qualification.
* Specific therapeutic modality training and qualification e.g. CBT, DBT, IPT etc.
