We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager for our new residential service, Ty Gwerthfawr, in Pontardawe. This purpose-built service includes 12 ground-floor flats, 10 of which are wheelchair accessible, and is designed to support adults with complex needs in a person-centred, flat-based model of care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality care and managing daily operations
* Lead and develop a team of Senior Support Workers and Support Workers
* Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
* Maintain accurate records and monitor service effectiveness
* Act as a service ambassador, building strong relationships with stakeholders
* Manage the service in the absence of the Registered Manager
* Oversee care delivery and ensure person-centred support plans are followed
* Support staff development through training, supervision, and mentoring
* Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing through meaningful activities
What Were Looking For:
* QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and working towards Level 4/5
* Experience in the care sector with knowledge of regulatory frameworks and inspections
* Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
* Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs
* Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office
* Commitment to person-centred care and empowering individuals to live independently
* Ability to liaise effectively with families, professionals, and external agencies
