This role is ideally suited to GPs within the first 2 years post CCT, with excellent support available as you transition into independent practice.

Main duties of the job
As a Salaried GP within our practice, you will:
* Provide high-quality, patient-centred care through a mix of face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations
* Manage a safe and structured clinical workload, including routine and urgent appointments
* Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and long-term conditions
* Undertake clinical decision-making, including prescribing, referrals, and care planning
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (ANPs, nurses, pharmacists, and ARRS staff) to deliver integrated care
* Support the management of patients with complex needs, including frailty and end-of-life care
* Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using SystmOne
* Participate in practice meetings, clinical reviews, and governance activities
* Contribute to quality improvement and service development to enhance patient care and access
* Engage in CPD and appraisal to maintain professional development
For Newly Qualified GPs:
* Work with a named mentor/GP Partner for support and guidance

Job Summary
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

Salaried GP Key Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
1. The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
2. The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
3. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
4. Effective management of long‑term conditions
5. Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
6. On a rotational basis undertake the duty doctor role
7. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
8. Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
9. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
10. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
11. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
12. Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
13. Contribute effectively to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance, training, financial management and HR
14. Ensure compliance with the appraisal process, both external and internal
15. Prepare and complete the revalidation process

* Utilise and demonstrate sensitive communication styles, to ensure patients are fully informed and consent to treatment

Essential
* Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
* Inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List (or eligible to join)
* Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice
* (or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at time of application)
* MBBS (or equivalent primary medical qualification)
* Right to work in the UK
