Product Manager

This is a great role to join the established and high-performing Product Management team at Vax. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager or Head of Category, the Product Manager will take overall responsibility for managing and developing a category ensuring you exceed market impact, sales and margin targets, whilst championing the consumer and brand.

Once in the role, you will become an expert in your chosen category/categories and through personal experience, you will build your knowledge to become the company expert. At Vax, we build our products based on consumer insights and data which will become a foundational element of your plans and/or you will be involved in constructing.

Day to Day

1. Category Sales-out & Commercial Performance – develop a deep understanding of sales-out across assigned categories for all Vax products and surrounding competitors, linking and influencing impact to P&L to achieve commercial targets.
2. Consumer Insight – working with the Insight team to create, support and manage necessary insight studies and workshops to gain a deep understanding of category or product areas to support and challenge the development process and key decisions.
3. Market & Trends – develop a full understanding of market dynamics and trends through an integrated use of GfK reporting, competitor intelligence and channel/general research.
4. Roadmap Management – working closely with department stakeholders, to develop and promote existing and required product roadmap, generating financial outputs via a wider quarterly commercialisation exercise, identifying gaps and proactively identifying new opportunities.
5. New Product Definition – linking to the roadmap, define & evolve product definition via MRD document (marketing requirement definition) combining and balancing key considerations; performance, consumer experience, technical & cost, etc.
6. New Product Development – working closely with UK & US NPD/Engineering teams manage projects through key development stages, business case approvals and necessary meetings.
7. New Product Launch & Campaign – utilising developed meeting structures and cadence promoting and guiding products through the process alongside key surrounding Commercial, Marketing & Creative functions coordinating key launch elements inc assets and content.
8. Product Collateral – Manage and take pride in the delivery of the relevant product collateral; digital content, user guides, machine graphics & comms, carton artwork etc.
9. Presentations – Present product and category strategy to internal and external stakeholders inc range reviews / launches to key customers etc.
