Bank Pharmacist

Location: Fitzwilliam Hospital, Peterborough

Contract: Bank (ad hoc)

Hours: Typically Weekdays: 09:00–17:00; Saturdays: 09:00-16:00hrs

Fitzwilliam Hospital is seeking a flexible, experienced Bank Pharmacist to support clinical services on an ad hoc basis, ensuring safe and effective medicines use within an elective setting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Medicines reconciliation, history taking, and clinical screening
2. Identify and resolve medicines-related issues
3. Provide advice on dosing, interactions, and optimisation
4. Support discharge planning and patient counselling
5. Monitor and document adverse drug reactions
6. Dispense and check medicines, including Controlled Drugs
7. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team

Part of Ramsay Health Care UK, Fitzwilliam Hospital delivers care to NHS, private, and self-pay patients across General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, and Cosmetic Surgery.

Requirements

Essential: MPharm, GPhC registration, strong communication skills, flexible approach

Desirable: Hospital experience; CMM (JAC) and Maxims knowledge
