Are you a creative designer & marketeer looking for a role that goes beyond producing assets? Bermar works with some of the most prestigious hospitality venues across the globe, from Michelin-starred restaurants and five-star hotels to luxury cruise lines, leading resorts, independent restaurants, wine bars and local pubs.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Graphic Designer & Marketing Executive to join our in-house marketing team and support the delivery of creative, brand-led marketing across digital, print, events, and international campaigns.
This is a great opportunity for someone with design experience who wants to play a hands-on role across wider marketing activity.
About Bermar
Bermar is a family business based in Martlesham, Suffolk, and a global leader in professional wine and Champagne preservation systems.
For over 35 years, we have helped hospitality venues around the world make more of their wine service. Our systems keep opened bottles of wine and Champagne fresh for up to 21 days, making it easier for venues to offer more choice by the glass, reduce waste and serve every glass as it should be.
The Role
This role would suit someone who has already gained some experience in graphic design, either in-house, agency-side or freelance, and is now looking for a broader creative marketing role.
You will work closely with the sales and marketing team to create high quality visual assets across digital, print, social media, email, trade shows, sales materials and distributor support. Alongside design, you will also help to bring campaigns to life and ensure Bermar’s brand is presented consistently across every touchpoint.
We are looking for someone who is organised and confident working across different types of projects. You do not need to know everything, but you do need to have a good eye for detail, a strong understanding of brand, and a portfolio that shows the quality of your work.
Key Responsibilities
* Creating high-quality branded assets across digital and print, including social media, email, website, brochures, presentations, adverts, sales collateral and trade show materials.
* Supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns across the UK, US and international markets, ensuring all creative work is consistent, polished and on brand.
* Designing and updating key marketing materials, including, but not limited to, product sheets, case studies, distributor resources, and internal documents.
* Working with the wider team to understand briefs, manage priorities and deliver creative work to deadlines.
* Supporting wider marketing activity where needed, including campaign coordination, marketing reporting, CRM support, distributor resources, internal communications and general project administration.
* Keeping marketing files, templates and brand assets organised, up to date and easy for the wider team to access.
About You
* Some previous experience in a graphic design, marketing design and/or creative marketing role.
* Confident using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
* A portfolio that demonstrates strong design skills, attention to detail and a clear understanding of brand.
* Comfortable creating work across both digital and print.
* A good understanding of how design supports wider marketing activity, campaigns and brand communications.
* Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects at once.
* Comfortable working in-house as part of a small team, where priorities can change and no two days are exactly the same.
* Strong communication skills, with the confidence to take a brief, ask the right questions and bring ideas to the table.
* Experience with email marketing platforms, website CMS systems, CRM systems, social media scheduling tools, photography, video or basic copywriting would be an advantage, but not essential.
What We Are Looking For
This is not a purely design only role. We are looking for someone who enjoys the creative side of marketing, but is also happy to get involved in the practical, day to day work that keeps a busy marketing team moving.
You might currently be a Junior Designer ready for your next step, a Graphic Designer looking for more variety, or a Marketing Executive with strong design skills. What matters most is that you can produce good work, understand brands, and want to grow within a busy in-house marketing team.
What you get in return:
* Competitive salary and employment benefits.
* Structured approach to career progression with regular reviews.
* Support with further training and relevant qualifications.
* Positive work environment.
* Regular Company parties & events.
* Additional holiday entitlement after one year of service.
* £400 Wellness Credit after one year of service.
* Enhanced Pension Scheme after five years of service.
