This role combines hands-on work with team leadership, offering real variety and the chance to make a visible difference every day.
The Role

* Using the CAFM system and Helpdesk to allocate jobs, monitor progress, and make sure deadlines are met.
* Providing guidance and support, helping your team work safely and effectively.
Building & Facilities Maintenance
* Carrying out small repairs, basic decorating, and compliance checks to keep facilities in good working order.
* Supporting planned maintenance activities, such as room checks, lighting replacements, and water testing.
* Assisting contractors when specialist work is required, ensuring jobs are completed to the right standard.
* Moving furniture, equipment, and teaching resources between classrooms, offices, residential buildings, and storage areas.
* Coordinating deliveries and collections, making sure items get to where they need to be on time.
* Assisting with recycling and general waste duties to help keep the estate clean and organised.

* Helping with outdoor tasks such as road gritting in winter, small repairs to paths and roads, and general site upkeep.
* Ensuring the external areas of the estate remain safe, tidy, and welcoming.
About You
Youre hands-on, organised, and thrive on variety. Youre equally comfortable leading a team as you are rolling up your sleeves to tackle jobs yourself. Above all, you take pride in getting things done properly and keeping operations running smoothly.
Youll need:
* Experience supervising or managing a team (ideally in estates, facilities, or maintenance).
* A solid practical background multi-trade or general facilities experience would be an advantage.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
* Competent IT skills (experience with CAFM systems is useful but not essential).
* A full UK driving licence (preferred, as the role involves driving estate vehicles).
What We Offer
* Defined contribution pension with up to 10% employer match.
* 50% contribution to private health insurance.
* Free term-time lunches and free sports centre membership.
* 75% school fee discount for staff children (day places).
