This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Software Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes. As the Software Engineer in Test – Mobile Automation, you will have autonomy to build a revolutionising automation framework using JavaScript, WebDriver IO, Appium. You will contribute to the technical design, testing, implementation, and delivery of mobile applications using continuous delivery and agile best practices.

1. Managing quality of the software product by implementing effective testing strategies, processes, and tools. Thus, reducing number of defects and issues that arise during the software development life cycle and ultimately lead to higher customer satisfaction
2. Delivering automation suites efficiently on time by coordinating & controlling dependencies and timelines
3. Producing a detailed certification and project report to consolidate the current project status
4. Supporting the team to brainstorm effective solutions in the event of a problem
5. Working with Development, QA engineers and business analysts to ensure the agreed solution is built, tested, and implemented to highest standards
What you’ll bring:
6. Must have experience of designing and developing Java/JavaScript, Selenium/WebDriver IO test automation frameworks that meet the requirements of the project
7. Must be familiar with the latest tools and technologies that can be used for test automation and select the most appropriate ones for the project
8. Must have experience on both Android or iOS platform for mobile native application automation
9. Should have expertise in defining the automation strategy for the project, including the scope of automation, the level of automation, and the types of tests to be automated
10. Should have expertise in liaising with developers and testers to integrate the automation in development process to achieve CI/CD
11. Should be able develop scripts using JavaScript, NodeJS, WebDriver IO / Selenium, Jest, Cucumber
It would also be nice for you to have:
12. Detailed understanding of CI/CD pipelines
13. Hands on experience in GitHub.com including GitHub action workflows
14. AWS certification or any cloud certification
15. Experience in non-functional testing (Preferably performance testing)

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
