Creative Digital Designer
Location: 2 days per week in the Watford Office
Day rate: 350 Outside IR35
Duration: 2 months (rolling)
We're seeking a talented Creative Digital Designer to join our dynamic creative team. You'll play a key role in producing engaging digital content for a leading retail brand, working on high-profile campaigns and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and deliver on-brand digital communications, including 8-10 marketing emails per week (some with motion graphics)
2. Support email project work, proofing, and ongoing template development
3. Adapt and create campaign assets for major events (., Red Nose Day, Christmas)
4. Stay up to date with e-commerce, eCRM marketing, and motion graphic trends
5. Collaborate closely with the Creative Manager and Film Editor to ensure creative alignment and upskill in motion graphics
6. Use analytics and campaign performance insights to drive continuous improvement
7. Foster a positive, innovative, and collaborative team culture
Requirements
8. Graduate-level qualification in Digital Design or similar
9. 3+ years' industry experience
10. Proficiency in Figma/Adobe XD, Photoshop, After Effects
11. Ability to create engaging animations for email (GIFs, lightweight video)
12. Knowledge of email marketing platforms and HTML
13. Familiarity with UX/UI principles for email
14. Basic retouching skills and understanding of analytics
15. Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a customer-centric mindset
16. Experience with task management tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Trello, Google Docs,
Desirable:
17. Experience with interactive email elements (AMP for Email, CSS animations)
18. Knowledge of email analytics and A/B testing
