We are working with a London-based University to recruit an interim Income Officer, for an initial three month period, to support a high-volume income function, with a particular focus on receipting and refunds.
This is a hands-on role within an established team, where accuracy and attention to detail are key. The function currently relies on a number of manual processes, so this role would suit someone comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily income receipting and allocation to the correct accounts
2. Processing a high volume of student refunds (including international payments)
3. Preparing detailed supporting documentation for approvals
4. Ensuring all refunds are accurate and compliant before processing
5. Liaising with internal stakeholders including registry and regional teams
6. Supporting basic reconciliations where required
About You:
7. Experience in an income-orientated role with an emphasis on receipting and refunds
8. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workloads
9. Comfortable working with manual processes
10. Exposure to Higher Education environments is highly beneficial but not essential
11. Familiarity with systems such as Banner, TouchNet, Global Pay or similar would also be advantageous

This role is Inside IR35, and payment will be made via an Umbrella Company.
