Overview
Whitefriars Church of England Primary Academy are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their welcoming team.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and group support for children with SEND across a year group.
* Work closely with classroom teachers and the SENCo to ensure students receive appropriate assistance to access the curriculum and make progress.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Has experience of working with children, preferably within a school environment.
* Shows a genuine interest in supporting children with SEND and a passion for making a difference in their lives.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, calm, and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt.
* A willingness to continue learning and developing skills in supporting SEND students.
* Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning or similar.

* Salary: £15,303 - £15,543 per annum pro rata
* Fixed Term until 31 August 2026
* Part time — 26.66 hours per week
* Term time + 1 week
* Starting 20 October 2025
* Working pattern to be agreed at interview within academy hours (Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm)
