Senior Infrastructure Engineer Glasgow / Flexible VIQU have partnered with a leading industrial systems integrator at the forefront of digital transformation in energy, renewables, water and manufacturing. This is a permanent role for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with SME-level knowledge across Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, and Network infrastructure—supporting critical OT environments. Key Responsibilities of the Lead Engineer: Design and implement secure OT systems involving Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Virtualisation (VMWare or Hyper-V) and Network infrastructure Define system architectures, hardware specs, and network topologies for project delivery Lead on documentation including FDS, SDS and test specs Conduct FATs (internal and customer), reviews, and QA processes Act as a subject matter expert during pre-sales, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement Work closely with internal cyber teams to ensure systems are secure by design Key Requirements of the Lead Engineer: 5+ years' experience with Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, and Switch/Firewall config—preferably in OT or industrial environments Strong background in cyber-secure systems delivery (IEC 62443 or similar standards) Confident producing technical documentation and leading test phases Familiarity with network design (RSTP, PRP, HSR) and communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, etc.) Full ...
